What happens if I am injured?

  1. Do not admit fault! Anything you say will be used to show that you were at fault in some way. When the opposing side or their insurance company can show you were liable to some degree it could significantly reduce the amount you are entitled to recover. In some situations it could prevent your from recovering any money at all.

  2. Do not discuss the accident or injury with anyone involved. Tell them you have an attorney and give them my phone number. Sign nothing before you speak to an attorney. Insurance companies and employers will try to get you to admit fault. They will low ball you and convince you to accept it. Do not talk to them. Let us fight those who do not have your best interests at heart.

  3. Document everything: take photos of everyone and everything, take notes, get police reports, and keep receipts. The more documentation the better.

  4. Do not sign anything from an insurance company until you have spoken to me.

  5. What if the insurance compnay offers me money? Do not sign anything until you have spoken to an attorney. Insurance companies will certainly attempt to undercut what you deserve. They are there to save the insurance company money by giving you a low offer.

  6. Get checked by a medical professional and follow their advice.

  7. Do not miss appointments. Do not skip physical therapy.
